About this notice
AskKip is operated by Tobie LLC, an Oregon limited liability company. This notice explains how we handle information through the AskKip website. The AskKip desktop app is not yet available. We will explain its permissions and data practices before offering it for installation.
Information you choose to provide
When you join the waitlist, we collect your email address and any optional name, audience preference, computer type, or feedback you provide. When you contact us, we collect your reply details and message. Please do not send passwords, recovery codes, payment details, private health information, or documents.

Information used to run the website
Our hosting and security services receive connection information needed to deliver and protect the website, such as request time, network address, browser information, and the page requested. The exact information and retention depend on the services listed below.
To limit repeated or automated form submissions, the website itself keeps short-lived, keyed codes made from a range of network addresses. It does not keep your raw network address for this purpose.

Service providers and other disclosures
We use service providers to host the site, store submissions, send email, and protect the service. They receive information needed for those functions. We may disclose information when necessary to meet legal obligations, protect rights or safety, or support a business transaction, subject to applicable protections.

What we use it for
We use this information to save and confirm waitlist requests, send requested AskKip updates, respond to messages, improve the product concept using feedback, and protect the site from abuse. We do not use your AskKip signup to add you to unrelated Tobie mailing lists.
Product examples and AI
The product preview uses fixed example information. It does not inspect files or settings on your computer. We do not send waitlist or contact submissions to an AI model as part of this website.
Advertising and sale of information
We do not sell information collected through this website or use it for targeted advertising. We do not install advertising pixels or session-replay tools.
This website does not use analytics tools or a chat widget.
How long information is kept
- Unconfirmed waitlist requests are removed after 30 days.
- Optional free-text product feedback, such as the problem you describe on the waitlist form, is removed after 90 days.
- Contact messages are removed 90 days after the conversation is closed.
- Confirmed waitlist details are kept while they are needed for the updates you requested, unless you ask us to remove them or the project ends. We periodically review whether the list is still needed.
- If you unsubscribe, we keep a minimal record of your email address so that we do not email you again.
- Expired confirmation links and short-lived abuse-prevention records are removed.
These removals are carried out by our own cleanup process. Backups and the logs kept by hosting, database, or email providers may follow those providers’ own schedules. When a provider is connected, this notice will describe its schedule.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from product emails without creating an account. You can also ask about, correct, or request deletion of information you submitted. We may need to verify that a request relates to your own information. We will not ask for your computer password or an identity document through a general form.
Security
We use access controls and other safeguards appropriate to this website. No online service can promise absolute security.

Audience and international access
AskKip is intended for adults. This website is not designed to collect information from children. Our initial product planning is focused on the United States. Information may be processed where our service providers operate, as described above.
